Expired Domains Expose EBay Security Glitch is an interesting article explaining how one could harvest ebay accounts (as well as other internet sites) after buying an expired domain and using the mail-me-my-password-because-I-forgot-it functionality. Crafty.

I hang out on IRC, ok, I idle alot on IRC, mostly on irc.freenode.net since it is the major network for open source projects. I just discovered the channel #commits which shows in realtime CVS commits of different projects – neat!
Using decoy cars to catch auto theft

I caught a segment on CBS news about the use of decoy cars by police in areas where there is high auto theft. The cars come complete with hidden video cameras, the ability to remotely lock in the criminal, and remote engine disablement. Pretty cool and I couldn’t help but make the link into the computer world and honeypots.
